Students interested in pursuing a dual credit opportunity must complete the HPSD Dual Credit Application Form, and submit it to their Career Coach.
Dual credit courses are open to high school students who meet both the academic and non-academic requirements of the course they are applying for. The academic requirements vary by course and can be found in the HPSD Dual Credit Program Guide. The following non-academic requirements apply to all dual credit courses and programs:
● Have a record of good attendance
● Prove their ability to meet deadlines
● Demonstrate commitment to the course or program
● Present with a schedule that will allow adequate time to study and complete the required course work
● Be open to the Dual Credit Coach and/or Career Coach discussing your application with teachers, principals and other school supports to ensure a good fit
● Will participate in an interview with parents/guardians and the HPSD Dual Credit Coach
