Administrators Appointed at HPSD

High Prairie School Division is pleased to announce Dr. Tracy Trethewy as the new vice principal of High Prairie Elementary School. Dr. Trethewy will be assuming the role from current Vice Principal Lisa Zabolotniuk, who is retiring at the end of this school year.
Working as the Drama, Foods, and Social Studies teacher at Roland Michener Secondary School since 2023, Dr. Trethewy has led major drama productions (Elf Jr. and The Lion King Jr.) that engaged up to 100 students across performance, technical, design, and leadership roles, including students from the Community Classroom and CTS programs. Her years of prior experience in the classroom and in administration span multiple continents, countries, and grade levels.
Dr. Trethewy holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Education) from Central Queensland University, a Master of International Education (School Leadership) from Charles Sturt University (graduated with distinction), a Master of Arts, Creative Media Education from Bournemouth University (graduated with merit), a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Aberystwyth University, a Bachelor of Learning Management from Central Queensland University (graduated with distinction), and a Bachelor of Arts from University of Queensland.
Dr. Trethewy will be joining current HPSD Principal Hassan Bouakir at High Prairie Elementary School. Mr. Bouakir is the current principal of E.W. Pratt High School. He will be assuming the role from Principal Lyndsay Fleming, who, in turn, will be assuming the role of principal at E.W. Pratt High School from Mr. Bouakir.
