High Prairie School Division is pleased to announce three new leadership appointments for the upcoming school year.
Melissa Isaac has been appointed as the new Principal of Joussard School. Melissa has been a dedicated educator with the Division since 2008. She has served as Vice Principal at Prairie River Junior High School since September 2022, where she provided strong leadership and supported student success. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education from the University of Alberta and her Master of Education in World Indigenous Education Studies through Queen’s University.
“Melissa’s dedication to students and her passion for lifelong learning make her an excellent choice for this leadership role,” says Superintendent Murray Marran. “We are excited to welcome her as Principal and look forward to the positive impact she will have on the Joussard School community.”
Charlene Porisky has been appointed as Vice Principal of Prairie River Junior High School. Charlene has been a dedicated teacher at High Prairie Elementary School, where she has built strong relationships with students and families. She brings enthusiasm, experience, and a student-centred approach to her new leadership role at PRJHS.
“Charlene’s strong teaching background and her ability to connect with students and families make her a wonderful addition to the leadership team at Prairie River,” says Superintendent Murray Marran. “We know she will continue to inspire students and support staff in her new role.”
Tiffany Seymour has been appointed as Vice Principal of Lakeside Outreach School in Slave Lake. Tiffany brings valuable experience as a classroom teacher and is passionate about supporting diverse learners and fostering flexible, inclusive education pathways. She is excited to join the leadership team at Lakeside Outreach and to support the success of students in Slave Lake.
“Tiffany’s commitment to student achievement and her passion for creating opportunities for all learners will be a tremendous asset to Lakeside Outreach,” says Superintendent Murray Marran. “Her leadership will strengthen the supports available to students and families in Slave Lake.”
