This year, we rally behind the theme "Invest In Our Planet," which highlights the importance of dedicating our time, resources, and energy to solving climate change and other environmental issues. Investing in our planet is necessary to protect it and the best way to pave a path toward a prosperous future.
These are five things you can do right now to invest in our planet:
1. Plant a tree to help reduce CO2 and purify the air.
2. Swap your light bulbs for LEDs and turn off lights when not in use to reduce energy usage.
3. Use reusable water bottles instead of disposable plastic.
4. If your destination is within walking or biking distance, leave your vehicle at home to reduce harmful emissions.
5. Shop locally and buy sustainable (items that are ethically made and environmentally friendly).
